Clinical posting ended today, means final exam is coming soon. I can imagine the exam papers are waving at me. Throughout this 3 and a half month posting, I'd gained a lot of experience and knowledge from the doctors, lecturers, staff nurses and the patients. My working days were really tiring but I enjoyed so much. It is not how much I do; it is how much love I put into the doing. I poured out my loving generosity to every patient and family member needing help. I guess that's is why I always receive compliments, appreciation letters, gifts, chocolates, fruits, pens, cakes, etc. from my patients and the family members. Guess what? My patients like it when I sing to them although I'm not a good singer hahaha! Well I believe I'm spreading the melody of consideration. I'm my patients' author helping them add more pages to their book of memories. I'm their comedian dispensing the medicine of laughter. Sometimes I'm a magician creating real miracles that inspire patients and families.

Advice to those who're considering to step into nursing profession: Make sure you already posses a brain brimming with wisdom, boundless courage and a heart filled with love. Kahlil Gibran said:" Work is love made visible."

Endoscopy posting

I was working in the Endoscopic Unit for the past 2 days. Working in the scope room was fun! I get to see many procedures such as Oesoohagus Gastro Duodenum Scopy (OGDS), Colonoscopy, Rubber banding, bronchoscopy, Percutanous Endoscopy Gastronomy (PEG) tube insertion, oesophageal stenting, endoscopy ultrasound, endoscopy rectograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), etc. I gained a lot of new experience and knowledge from the doctors, especially Dr. Ho and Dr. Jeeta.

This picture caught my attention when i entered the scope room. The lady is the legend of Robin Hood. So cool wei!

I'm back to ward 7U, which is a surgical ward, again. I was kind of nervous entering this ward. First, the ward sister. Remember I mentioned about the charcoal in my previous post? Yeah she's one of the sister here. Second, it's because of... Hmmm better not to mention here. Who know you're reading. I once love this ward so much, because it involves so many types of surgeries. Yeah surgery is my favourite part. I throw myself heart and soul into surgery.

First day back to 7U, I was late. I've no inkling who turned off my alarms though I know it's definitely me because Ivy was not in the room. Charcoal was not in the ward today but the shortie was there. She was yelling at me in front of the doctors, asking why is the bed sheet so dirty. (It's an empty bed. The patient was discharged and usually after the patient discharged from the ward, we've to change the bed sheet, draw sheet, blanket, etc after the RHEA worker disinfect the cubicle). I told the shortie that's the new bed sheet, the night shift nurses just changed it. However she was not listening to my explanation because she was busy showing off to the doctors how powerful she was when she's able to yell at a student nurse in front of the patients and the doctors. At the same time she's showing people how POOR is her communication skill. Sister dai sai meh? I turned away from her and at the same time I made a boogie facial expression, my funny facial expression made the patients and doctors giggled. Afterall it's not my fault okay, blame the laundry department, didn't wash off the dirt stain. Guess what? I threw the bed sheet into the rubbish bin instead of throwing it into the laundry bag. I'm preventing my juniors get scolded by the shortie again okay. Hospital is rich so nevermind. I told my staff nurse I threw away the bed sheet, she said "Good job!" Hahaha!

DIOR road show

I went to stay overnight at my sister's condominium during the weekend. I brought my new swimming suit there but didn't manage to squeeze out extra time to swim. FYI, I'm not a good swimmer. I walk more than swim in the pool. Hahaha~!

I don't feel like to blog lately due to my tiredness and the noobiness of the Internet connection. Actually I wanted to upload more photos but something is wrong with this blogger. Sorry readers, couldn't share all of 'em with you.

Few days after my parents went back to Miri, my fav uncle and aunty, together with my cousin sister (biao jie), Yii jie jie, came to KL for holiday. We had a great weekend spending our time together!

I'm currently having my rotation in surgical ward. Surgery will always be my favourite unit throughout the whole posting.

My parents were here last week to attend my sister's convocation which was held in KLCC. I was working morning shift on my sister's convocation day because I failed to get day-off from the inconsiderate tutor. I requested to leave the ward early, but in return I have to sacrifice my lunch break. I rushed back to my hostel to change into a low-cut black dress and speed up my steps to get a taxi. Luckily I managed to reach there before the convo starts. Most of the photos are in the cameras.

The next day, we went to Sg.Wang and Time Square just before they fly back to Miri.

This is where I work, study and stay.
I was so keen to work in a hospital since I was a kid,
fortunately my dream comes true...
UMMC is my 2nd home now.
Unfortunately,
I hate how they treated us like a kindergarten kids,
especially the curfew,
faeces~!
